5 Weeks and 1 Day Old

My sweet Olivia,

As  I am typing this you are across the room sleeping

in what used to be my bassinet as a baby.

You love it.

We rushed over to Lolly's today to visit

with Aunt Tammy or "Aunt LaLa" as she likes

to say to mess with your Lolly! HA!

Today is Monday, Daddy is working so we

needed to get away from the house for a bit

since he couldn't hear people on the phone.

Hmmm... wonder why!

You are so precious.

Mommy stays awake at night just watching you

sleep and wiggle during your dreams.

Daddy adores you and LOVES to hold you.

We are just so happy to finally have you with us.

Right now the Olympics are going on and Daddy is

all excited trying to figure out what sport

you will compete in at the Olympics.

Hey! Maybe you will be our little Olympian!

I say track and field. Daddy says gymnastics.

Next week we are taking you down to Baton Rouge

to meet all of Daddy's family and friends.

I am SO nervous about the long drive down there.

You are not a carseat baby!

Mommy Becomes a "Stay-At-Home-Mommy"

Today is Mommy's last day of work!

This means you and I will party all day night together!!

I am so thankful your Daddy is able to let me 

stay home to be with you.

He is such a wonderful husband and soon to be father.

You are due to arrive in just under seven weeks from now.

How crazy is that little missy!?

I guess I should get to finishing your nursery.

Well, really I need to get to cleaning and organizing

the whole house for you. 

That will start this week... 

Don't you worry- 

We will have Daddy picking up his 

own shoes and dirty laundry in a jiffy!

You are getting so strong.

Grams said she prays for you every night

to be healthy and STRONG.

I told her she can stop praying for strength because 

her prayers are working good enough! Ha!

I can see your little foot sticking out of my side.

You have hiccups once a day at least.

You LOVE to push up against my hip bone.

I know I will miss feeling all of these things 

as soon as you are no longer in there but 

for now it is weird.

And cute.

But really weird.

We don't know what we are going to call my Mom yet.

She is crazy and keeps changing it!

I think you are going to pick out a super grandma

name as soon as you start talking. Haha...

I can't wait to hear you talk!

Enough rambling... 

Tonight I am hanging come curtains over the front door

so you and I can have some privacy at night.

It is a little creepy having a glass door!

I'll get Daddy on that...

10 Weeks To Go!!!

Dear Olivia,

You are a little over 30 weeks along.

It's the FINAL countdownnnn!!! 

I am so excited I could explode...

Maybe I should relax.

Well, this past weekend Mommy's friends 

and Shugie's friends hosted the most

beautiful shower for you.

It couldn't have been more perfect. 

You got so many cute outfits, toys and blankets!

You are certainly ready to fulfill your 

destiny as a fashionista!

HA!

"Aunty Hannah" made you the coolest

set of initials for your room out of quilling art.

She is so talented!

Meme Garidel made you your FIRST quilt!

It has all sorts of farm animals for you to crawl

around on and look at. 

I can't wait for you to see it.

I love looking at your 4D ultrasound picture.

You are so beautiful already.

Daddy hasn't looked at it- YET! 

Sometimes I think he is going to just 

give in and take a peek! 

He is so excited to see you for the first time.

Painting Day!

Good Morning Olivia!

Today is the day you've been waiting for!!!

Okay, it's the day Mommy has been waiting for.

Your room is getting painted, finally.

Daddy picked out a really pretty color, you're going 

to love it!

Mame has been here since Saturday night cleaning

out your room and organizing everything.

She has been a great help!

She brought over your Easter basket full of 

new outfits and shoes- you must
have been so excited that you let her feel
you kick for her first time!
She thinks you are very strong for 25 weeks.
I agree.

Yesterday was Mommy and Daddy's one year anniversary.

I can't believe it's already been one year!
You got to eat a lot of fondue last night.

Pop Pop found a birthday card I gave him last year and 

I wrote, "Just think, next year you could already have your 

first grandbaby!"

Time is flying... 

Next week you get to ride on a plane for the first time.

I am so excited to go to the All Access Conference this year.

Your Daddy is very excited too!

I am a little sad because I miss my Pa but I am very 

proud of what all he has accomplished and all 

of the people he has impacted through ARC.

He would have LOVED you! I can hear him saying,

"That's Pa's girl!!!"

Momma is gonna try and get your dresser painted soon.

Then I promise I'll post pictures of our progress!

P.S. We are planning a trip to Disneyworld with Daddy's side of the family. I can't wait to buy you all your little summer outfits and sun hats for that!!! Maybe we will get some pictures of you with some Princesses. ;)

23 weeks and 4 days

Today is really pretty outside.

It makes me so excited about putting you in your 

stroller and taking you on walks and runs around our neighborhood.

Your nursery is starting to come together.

Well, it's in the works now- I have finally made up my

mind on how I think you would like it to be.

Daddy has already set up your crib and Mame has

shipped Mommy's glider so I can rock you to sleep every night.

I may be rocking myself to sleep every night.

It is really exciting knowing that we only have 16 weeks 

left until we get to meet you and bring you home!

I sort of think the time will fly by because your Daddy and 

me have a busy schedule until then.

Speaking of schedules...

I scheduled your 4D ultrasound yesterday!

We get to see your sweet face in just 5 more weeks.

You are getting stronger everyday.

I can feel you kicking and squirming around a lot now.

It is my favorite part about being pregnant with you.

What is my not so favorite part?

Oh, that would be not being able to tan!

Haha... soon enough summer will be here.

21 down 19 to go!

My little Olive,

I can not explain how overwhelmed with

love I am for you.

Every time you wiggle or kick I can't 

help but have the biggest smile.

I just want June you to hurry up and get here!!!

Recently, you have been getting a lot of gifts 

and clothes in the mail.

Some of it is stuff I bought you for this summer and

the others are from your Meme and Mame!

Meme actually made you your first LSU bubble.

He loves it!

Time is flying.

I know it will eventually slow down but

for now, I am enjoying it very much!

I am still picking out colors and fabrics for your nursery.

It's going to be a while before I get that all together.

Your daddy and Honey are helping me a lot.

Honey and Pop get home tomorrow from their cruise.

21 weeks to go!

Hello Lovie,

Mommy is really in a sour mood these days.

I think I am just really tired and have too much on my mind.

However, you and your Daddy make everything much better.

Lately I feel like a balloon and I dont suppose that will 

be getting any better for the next 20 or so weeks!

You have been wanting a chili dog and mustard for a few days now and

I am starting to think it's a pretty good idea myself.

What do you think about coming along with me to Sonic after work?

Oh, you're too tired? Me too. Ha!

Okay, I need a little help here...

I am having a hard time decided on the "theme" of your room.

Here are some of the things I am debating between:

soft fleshy pink tones...

or 

bright florals??

This is really hard for me to choose between.

So, if you don't mind, kick once for choice A or twice for choice B.

I'll be patiently waiting... 

I really am having fun preparing for your arrival!

I am always thinking to myself, "Oh this is SO Olivia!"

Not that I REALLY know what is or isn't "you."

One thing I do know about you is that you CRAZY, girl!

You are bouncing around Momma's tummy all day and all night!

They say you get on average 12-14 hours of sleep a day, but

I am almost positive you are an exception.
